Hi, I’m Bonnie, children’s book author, early childhood educator, and my greatest accomplishment; mum of two.
My love of children’s literature began long before I started writing my own stories. Through years of working in early childhood education and sharing books with both the children I teach and my own little ones at home, I’ve seen firsthand the magic that stories can create. Books have the power to spark imagination, build connection, encourage emotional growth, and create memories that last a lifetime.
Inspired by my experiences as both an educator and a parent, I write stories that are warm, meaningful, and engaging for young readers. My goal is to create books that children love to return to again and again, while also supporting parents, caregivers, and educators along the way.
I’m incredibly excited to be bringing my very first book to life alongside a wonderful creative team, and I’m so happy you’re here to be part of the journey.

- My Creative Journey -
Storytelling has always been part of who I am.
Long before I ever imagined becoming a children’s author, I was the person completely lost in the pages of a picture book, drawn to the rhythm of the words, the emotion in the illustrations, and the magic that a simple story could create. As I grew older, that love only deepened through my work in early childhood education, where books became such an important part of everyday life. Stories helped children feel safe, understood, curious, brave, and connected, and I quickly realised just how powerful children’s literature can be.
As both an educator and a mum of two, I’ve spent years reading stories aloud. The well-loved bedtime favourites, the silly stories requested over and over, and the books that open the door to important conversations and big feelings. Those moments sparked something creative in me and slowly inspired me to begin writing stories of my own.
What started as ideas scribbled down between busy days, family life, work and study, gradually grew into a dream I could no longer ignore. I wanted to create books that children could truly connect with, stories that feel warm, meaningful, comforting, and fun, while also encouraging imagination, emotional understanding, and connection.
Now, seeing my books come to life alongside an incredible creative team feels both surreal and exciting. From the earliest ideas and drafts to story development and illustrations, every step of the process has reminded me why I fell in love with children’s books in the first place.
My creative journey is still just beginning, and I’m so grateful to share it with you. I hope these stories find a special place in the hearts and homes of the children and families who read them.
